Pensacola is known for the beautiful beaches and spectacular views of the Gulf. However, the Pensacola area not only has beautiful views but many award-winning restaurants as well. A Pensacola awards shop is taking some time to highlight the most recent restaurant awards around town. Seven different restaurants in the Pensacola area won the renowned Golden Spoon Award this year.

The Golden Spoon Award is given out every year and highlights the best restaurants within the state of Florida. Receiving the award is an honor, as the standards for making the list are high. There are requirements the selected must have reached in order to be placed on the list for this award and in order to receive the award at the end.

“The District”, a new restaurant to the Pensacola area, made the list known for its seafood and steak. This restaurant is one locals and tourists have been attracted to as it grows in popularity. Some other restaurants that made the list are local favorites, such as Global Grill and McGuire’s Irish Pub. 

Having seven restaurants in the area receive the Golden Spoon Award is an honor for the Pensacola community. The number of restaurants awarded places Pensacola among big-name cities such as Miami Beach, Orlando, and Tallahassee. The restaurants that received this award now have proud trophies in Pensacola, FL, for locals to put on display.
